South Australia take first innings points

Cricket '05 @ Sports Australia In a match destined to end in a draw, centuries by Cameron Borgas and Darren Lehmann have secured South Australia first innings points on day three of the Pura Cup clash against Tasmania in Hobart.

Borgas pushed on from his overnight score of 106no to eventually register 140, while Lehmann scored a near run-a-ball knock of 104 to guide the Redbacks past the Tigers' declared first innings total of 8-421.

The visitors resumed the third day at 3-251, before being dismissed in the last session for 638 - a first innings lead of 217.

Tasmania are 1-30 at stumps, with David Dawson (13no) and Michael Bevan (0no) at the crease

Dan Cullen trapped Tim Paine (17) LBW in the penultimate over of the day.

Earlier in the day, South Australia motored along at over four runs per over in the first session, with Lehmann and Borgas pounding the Tasmanian attack to all ends of the park in a partnership that yielded 163 runs.

Borgas' innings came to an end on 140 after an stay at the crease that spanned nearly six hours, with Ben Hilfenhaus disturbing the furniture at 4-366.

Lehmann soon followed four runs after registering his century at 5-382.

That did little to hinder the Redbacks' momentum as Callum Ferguson (65 from 67) and Graham Manou (91 from 86) formed a 100-run stand in only 96 balls, hoisting the visitors up to 5-482.
