Sydney Trio to head to Romania

A-League Club - Sydney FC Sydney FC players David Carney, Sasho Petrovski and Iain Fyfe have all agreed to loan deals to play for Romanian club Bucharest in order to boost their chances of making Guus Hiddink’s Australian world cup squad.

Sydney winger David Carney is believed to be heading over to Romania to finalise his deal after the clash with Bahrain in which Carney hopes to make his Socceroo debut.

The others who have figured in the train on squad for the national team late last year, will be hoping to use the loan deal to impress Hiddink and Assistant National coach Graham Arnold in time for world cup selection.

Both Carney and Petrovski have impressed this season, with Carney in particular catching the eye of Steaua boss Cosmin Olaroui after his performances in the World Club Championship late last year.

Fyfe who has enjoyed some good performances this season, will be looking to take his solid performance in last Sunday’s second leg semi-final to Romania, and with it a possible spot in Germany.

It is expected that the loan moves will take place after the A-League grand final, involving Sydney FC and the winner of Sunday’s preliminary final between Adelaide United and the Central Coast Mariners.
