Rofe and Blewett return for Redbacks

Shaun Tait The South Australian Cricket Association today announced South Australia's team to play Victoria in the Pura Cup match starting this Thursday at the Adelaide Oval.

Fast bowler Paul Rofe has been named in the 12-man side, with his selection subject to passing a fitness test later this week. Rofe underwent knee surgery to repair damaged cartilage earlier this month.

Greg Blewett returns to the Redbacks four-day side, after being a late omission from the Redbacks Pura Cup match earlier this month against Tasmania with a quadricep strain.

Ben Cameron, who replaced Greg Blewett in that Pura Cup match, has been omitted from the side.

Matthew Elliott was unavailable for selection due to an injured right knee, which he aggravated prior to last week’s ING Cup match against Western Australia. Elliott has consulted an orthopedic specialist and will undergo further scans to help determine the next course of action.

Victoria are yet to name their squad, but it is expected that Shane Warne will front for his first first-class game since the Sydney Test.

South Australia: Shane Deitz, Mark Cosgrove, Greg Blewett, Callum Ferguson, Darren Lehmann (capt), Cameron Borgas, Graham Manou (wk), Mark Cleary, Jason Gillespie, Cullen Bailey, Paul Rofe, Shaun Tait (12th man to be named).
