Well on the back of that performance Australia is in good stead to advance to the next stage if they can at least grab a point or two from their final two games. As much as I would like Australia to provide a fairytale against Brazil, I am thinking with my head when I say this, Brazil might be OVER the odds on the back of a nation’s support for the Socceroos. I see Brazil drifting to ridiculous odds leading up to Monday morning’s game with Australia.

Prediction:

Brazil to win anything over $1.48 and over is a terrific price. Sure it won’t get you rich quick, so what if we predict a 3-0 scoreline to the Brazilians. I’m thinking around $8.00 is a good price. Shop around and you may be surprised at the value you will find for Brazil.

Now turning my attention to golf.

This week sees the U.S. Open upon us yet again. Tiger Woods resumes in his first major since his late father’s passing. A testament to Tiger is his sheer will to win and indeed his belief to overcome adversity. Tiger is a true champion and I believe that he will add another major to his mantlepiece.

Prediction:

Tiger Woods to win U.S. Open Championship anything better than $5.00 is a good bet. My Value Bet is Nick O’Hern to be leading Aussie anything around $9.00 is tremendous value.

In the AFL we have a split round to kick us off.

I really think that this week will be full of upsets, leading up to the break for some clubs. I think St Kilda can go on from their victory against Sydney at the SCG, and record a win over Adelaide in Friday night footy.

The Cats are the outsiders when they travel to Subiaco to tackle Fremantle, but I believe that the Cats will represent brilliant value over in the West and get the four points. And after three successive wins, Port Adelaide looked set to make a charge at the finals and will make it four on the trot against the Eagles at AAMI Stadium.

Prediction:

St Kilda to defeat Adelaide into Geelong to defeat Fremantle and Port Adelaide to defeat West Coast. Once again anything above $10.00 is the Value bet of the week on that treble getting up.
