Experts pick Crows for flag
Half of SportsAustralia.com’s AFL experts have tipped Adelaide to win this season’s premiership, with
round one set to kick off in Perth tonight.
Adelaide beat out St Kilda for flag favouritism amongst the site’s punters, with eight of the 16 experts
picking the NAB Cup grand finalists to take out their third flag, while five tipped St Kilda to celebrate 40
years since their solitary flag in 1966 by taking out only their second in their 109-year history this
year.
No one had Carlton, Hawthorn or Richmond in the top eight, with only one tipster selecting Essendon and two
predicting Collingwood to make the finals. Carlton is the overwhelming favourite to collect its second
straight wooden spoon.
St Kilda young gun Nick Dal Santo is one of three popular choices to take out this year’s Brownlow Medal,
with Hawthorn’s Luke Hodge and West Coast superstar Chris Judd also tipped heavily.
Matthew Lloyd, Fraser Gehrig and Barry Hall were all picked to win the Coleman Medal, and Carlton’s number
one pick Marc Murphy is favourite to claim this season’s NAB Rising Star award, with Brisbane draftee Mitchell
Clark also tipped by a few after a strong showing in this year’s NAB Cup.
