Storm name squad for Roosters clash

NRL Telstra Premiership 2006 Melbourne Storm coach Craig Bellamy has named an 18-man squad for this Saturday’s Round 13 clash against the Sydney Roosters.

After last Sunday’s 17-16 extra-time win over the Penrith Panthers at Olympic Park, the Storm rose to second on the 2006 NRL Telstra Premiership ladder, equal on points with ladder leader the Brisbane Broncos.

Sydney, on the other hand, is coming off a disappointing 22-20 defeat at the hands of the Parramatta Eels to slip to ninth place.

Bellamy has made two changes to the squad that was named last week.

Brett White returns to the starting line-up after being rested from last week’s game, taking the place of Ian Donnelly who has been suspended for one week.

This weekend sees the return of Billy Slater who will return after completing his suspension. He has been named as 18th man.

Ben Cross, after being voted player’s-player-of-the-week by his teammates, retains his place on the bench while Nathan Friend has also been named on the bench despite suffering an ankle injury in last week’s win over the Panthers.
