Daruda ruled out of Australia A Squad
Australian Under 21 flyhalf, Scott Daruda has been ruled out of the Australia A Squad to play the French
Barbarians on Tuesday 1 November in Bordeaux, with a hamstring injury.
Daruda, who made his Super 12 debut with the Reds this season and toured Argentina with the Australian
Under 21s, injured his hamstring in training and will be not be fit to join the rest of the Australia A Squad
when they depart for France tomorrow.
Wallaby Coach Eddie Jones, who will also coach the Australia A team for the one-off match against the
French Barbarians, says it's disappointing for the young flyhalf.
"Scott is a talented player who was really looking forward to the tour, to gain experience and the
opportunity to play for Australia A against the French Barbarians," said Jones.
"While he's disappointed he won't be joining the squad, he'll now be able to have a good off season and
prepare well for next year's Super 14."
With Daruda unavailable for selection due to injury, a decision on whether or not a replacement will be
called into the Australia A Squad is yet to be made.
Meanwhile, four Australia A players, Adam Ashley-Cooper, Alister Campbell, Nic Henderson and Lachlan MacKay
will all travel to France tomorrow before meeting up with the Wallabies on Thursday.
The four will also be met in Paris by David Croft and Brett Sheehan, both fresh from recent tours with the
Reds and Waratahs.
