Reporter for SportsAustralia since December of 2005, Daniel has a desire to eliminate agenda from writing pieces and to state the facts. He is a diehard Canterbury Bulldogs supporter in the NRL competition, a Sydney Swans supporter as well as an avid cricket and tennis follower throughout the summer period.

Daniel completed a work experience course with the Sydney Morning Herald in May of 2005, assisting with the ‘On the box’ segment in the weekend sports section. Daniel is also a writer for the League Unlimited rugby league website, writing match reports and feature articles since joining them in the middle of the 2005 NRL season. He recently conducted an interview with rugby league great Terry Lamb which can be read on the website. He is currently hosting a radio program titled “The Summer Series” on RLfans radio, an internet radio station which is associated with League Unlimited. This can be heard on Thursday evenings at 8.30pm.

Daniel joins SportsAustralia to broaden his horizons, and while he has built up impressive rugby league credentials, he feels that it is important not to be too one-dimensional and is looking to add to SportsAustralia’s cricket and tennis coverage in the summertime.

Daniel hopes to become a sports writer with the Sydney Morning Herald, but realises that there is plenty of work to do before he gets to that stage. He hopes that SportsAustralia will grant him an opportunity to build up an impressive portfolio for sports writing.
