Netball Internationals - Australia v New Zealand 2005

Phoebe Grealy became Sports Australia’s most controversial Netball Reporter when the Kiwi press quoted her match report as part of their claim that the Australian media were ‘whingeing’ about the Australian netball team’s recent loss to the New Zealand ‘Silver Ferns’.

While Phoebe will take any international recognition she can get, she spends most of her time covering Australia’s domestic netball competition, the Commonwealth Bank Trophy series.

Hailing from Brisbane, she loyally supports the so-far winless Queensland Firebirds in the CBT competition and is sure they can finish the season with a win.

However, she lives for the unparalleled competition of the International Netball Tests between arch rivals Australia and New Zealand.

Phoebe managed to get courtside at the Sydney SuperDome for the biffo between the Australia and New Zealand netball teams in June 2005. And though the Kiwi’s took out the Test, she was left wondering if she had witnessed them win a netball game or a boxing match. But that was just Round 1.

Phoebe will travel to Auckland in October 2005 for the final International Netball Test.
