Reporter for SportsAustralia since October 2006, Shane is a young aspiring journalist who hopes to become a well known name in the sports media industry, for both his writing and radio/TV work.

He can be heard on SEN 1116’s NBL basketball coverage as stats man alongside the commentary team consisting of Andrew Gaze, Mark Doran, Nigel Purchase and Matt Thompson. Shane also has been assistant producer on a number of shows at the station; some of these being Saturday Spotlight and the weekday afternoon program The Good Oil. He has also done some work with the reporters at the station and also completed a week of work experience at Fox Footy channel in July 2006 before the station later shut down.

Shane so far in his short time with SportsAustralia.com has covered the NBL, Cricket news, the 2006 Tri Nations, the 2006 Spring Carnival as well as the latest AFL off-season news. He has also had a few articles appear on the Victorian Bushrangers website.

He is excited about working with Sports Australia and sees it as a website that has huge potential. Shane hopes his work with Sports Australia will lead him to a future behind a microphone or in front of a keyboard covering sport which is his love in life.
