Wallabies back on the paddock this weekend

Australian Rugby Rugby fans will enjoy the chance to see several Wallabies returning to their club colours in Sydney and Brisbane this weekend.

Drew Mitchell (University QLD), Lloyd Johansson (Gold Coast), George Smith (Manly), Scott Fava (Eastwood), Brendan Cannon (Sydney University), Al Kanaar (Sydney University), Lachlan MacKay (Warringah) and Mark Gerrard (Warringah) have all been made available for their Premier Rugby clubs this weekend.

All other Wallaby squad members are on two weeks active rest after a nine-Test winter season.

Meanwhile, a mid-week tour match between Australia A and the French Barbarians on 1 November has been confirmed for the upcoming Wallaby Spring Tour.

The match will be played in Bordeaux, giving Wallaby team management a chance to familiarise themselves with the venue for their 2007 Rugby World Cup pool match against the America 2 qualifier.

The same match last year acted as a stepping stone for the likes of Drew Mitchell, Al Cambell, Stephen Hoiles and Stephen Moore to make their Wallaby Test debut.

The referee appointments for the November Test matches have been announced by the IRB overnight, with Australia's top referees - Matt Goddard, Stuart Dickinson, Scott Young and Andrew Cole - all getting the call up to officiate Test matches. George Ayoub and Brett Bowden will also act as touch judges in the Argentina v South Africa Test in Buenos Aires.

The Wallabies' Tests will be refereed by Paul Honiss (v France), Joel Jutge (v England), Chris White (v Ireland) and Tony Spreadbury (v Wales).
