Corica accepts two match ban
Sydney FC midfielder Steve Corica has accepted an extra one match ban handed to him after a Football
Federation Australia (FFA) disciplinary hearing tonight.
The extra match means Corica, who was already serving an automatic one match ban for his red card, will
miss the round six match against Adelaide United as well as tomorrow night’s clash with the New Zealand
Knights in Auckland.
Corica will next be available to play when Sydney FC plays Queensland Roar at Aussie Stadium on Sunday
October 8.
In giving Corica the extra match suspension the FFA also handed him a suspended one-match ban, meaning any
further charges of dissent against a Match Official will see him miss a third game.
“I am disappointed but I know I’ve done the wrong thing and I’ve accepted the decision,” Corica said.
“All I want to do is get back on the field when we play Queensland Roar (in round seven).”
