Match Points:

6 = Bonus Point Win

5 = Win

3 = No Result/Tie

1 = Loss

0 = Loss conceding bonus point

In an attempt to encourage positive and entertaining cricket, one bonus point will be awarded to teams that achieve a run rate 1.25 times that of the opposition.

To accurately reflect the worth of the bonus point, a win in the competition now earns five points, making the maximum points available in a game six.

In the event of the teams finishing on equal points, the right to play in the final match (or series) will be determined as follows:

  • the team with the most number of wins
  • the team with the most number of wins over the other team(s).
  • the team with the highest number of bonus points
  • the team with the highest net run rate.
Top two teams after qualifying matches play-off for the trophy.
